Gnomai is a mid-level reader site, designed to help students progress from introductory courses to "real" Greek and Latin texts. Stories are presented unaltered, in the original Greek or Latin, but are annotated with grammatical, historical, and literary notes that are "hidden" by default. An original English translation is provided and accessible via a linked tab. Stories are organized by work and author; background information on both is provided.
Gnomai is a work in progress. Currently, the site feautres primarily Aesopic fables, but there are plans to expand our scope. We welcome productive feedback and comments, and ask readers to report errata.
